Apologies for poor quality of audio

I wanted to share these precious moments with Punjabi poetry lovers. The recording is part of my casual conversations with my father (and best friend) who was reciting a poem by his ustad ji (Giani Kidar Naath Baghi) in this clip. Baghi-ji was a renouned poet of Layalpur (present day Faislabad) who settled in Gandhi Nagar, Delhi after the partition of India. He passed away in 1959 (before my birth), but I feel he has been part of our family and very much alive through conversations with my father.

My father had great affection for Baghi-ji and continued to recite some of his work until his last days in January 2005.

I am posting this clip to keep alive some majestic poetry that has given, both, my father and myself great pleasure over the years.

I hope my periodic interjections during the conversations do not spoil your enjoyment of the poetry.
